Experimental Investigation on Synergetic Effects of Micro Grooves and WSe2 in Sliding Contact

Improving tribological behaviors for dry contacts has always been a hot study topic, since liquid lubricants are not applicable certain vital scenarios, including space travel equipment. This describes the synergetic effects of micro groove texture and WSe2 flakes as solid on friction reduction in sliding contact. The reciprocating tests were performed under flake-filled conditions while varying geometric feathers flake sizes. According to experimental results, coefficient (CoF) could be reduced by 80% due combination grooves compared non-textured cases. optimal width (b = 130 µm) was identified both conditions. SEM observation suggested that have different influence granularity reducing discussed based results. provides novel solution friction, which suggests there is effect parameters with flakes.
